Fortune takes a look at the business behind a billion-dollar athlete. Not only has LeBron James exceeded expectations on the court but he has also exceeded them off the court. For years, even before the end of the Michael Jordan era, everyone was on the lookout for the next Number 23. Not just from a playing perspective but also from a financial and public personality perspective.

LeBron James hasn’t suffered from some of the many challenges that appear to have caught more seasoned players off guard. Even though he joined the NBA out of high school, LeBron has always appeared destined for greatness and he has let no one down on this one. The only thing missing at the moment are the Championship Rings but they will come in time.

LeBron James should be held in the highest regard for being able to achieve so much at such a young age without falling victim to the temptations.

Kevin Rudd has publicly claimed victory in the Australian Election and suggested that the work starts tomorrow and can only stop for a cup of tea and an Iced Vo Vo….but it stops there.

Announcing his intentions to get serious about creating a future for Australia where we all work together he seemed serious enough about bringing a new voice and vision to Australian politics.

John Howard may have lost this election, and his own seat but he has built a good platform for you to springboard off as you lead this country forward.

The Australian public obviously prefer the heavy handed tactics of the unions than the Liberal government and John Howard.  In what is an obvious statement from the Australian public, Labor appears to have won the 2007 election hands down.

There was some interesting campaigning on the trail and even John Howard himself appears to have lost his own seat in the election.

Apparently Paris Hilton is keen to live forever, and wants to be frozen in a cryogenic institute when she dies … but not only does she want to live forever, she also wants to be frozen along with her pets Chihuahua Tinkerbell and Cinderella.

Apparently, in an effort to outlive all modern celebrities, Paris Hilton has invested a large sum of money in the world’s biggest suspended animation cemetery, Cryonics Institute.

The star of Simple Life apparently has said: “It’s so cool. Almost all the cells in the body are still alive when death is pronounced.

“And if you’re immediately cooled, you can be perfectly preserved.”

“My life could be extended by hundreds and thousands of years.”

So this has got me to thinking, out of all the dumb things that celebrities have said lately, who is the smartest.

So, I read this report on News.com today (http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,22705712-2,00.html) that suggested the “Young are becoming addicted to social networking sites”.

The first question that I have to ask to the journalist Darren Osborne is “so what have you been doing with the last 12 months of your life”?

Have you just gotten your job after returning from the alien abduction?

What did these aliens do to you?  Was there a moment when you saw yourself in Outback?

So I have to ask, “What is Going On Here?”

Wow, you would have never though about this in the late 80’s when she was in Neighbours

I am not sure that they even had internet connections back then.  However, Kylie Minogue is a true aussie girl, from the days back in Neighbours, through her first hit single “Locomotion” to Jason Donovan and then INXS frontman Michael Hutchence (before the “Paula Yates” incident!) to her breast cancer scare.

You have to admit, she has come back pretty well. Michael Hutchence committed suicide, Paula Yates died of an “accidental heroin overdose. Jason Donovan recently admitted in “Between The Lines: My Story Uncut”, which was serialised in Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper which revealed his cocaine addiction and that Kylie was “the one” but that he couldn’t compete with Michael Hutchence.
