Chad Pennington A Miami Dolphin?

With all the hoopla surrounding Brett Favre becoming a New York Jet and certainly taking any thoughts of a competition out of the New York Jets QB race one has to wonder what will become of Chad Pennington and his $6Million salary and you would have to think that Miami Dolphins supremo Bill Parcells would look long and hard at Pennington, an established veteren with wins under his belt unlike any of the QB’s the Dolphins have at the moment.

In his article on ESPN, Gene Wojciechowsk suggested that “the Jets are underwhelmed by Chad Pennington, who is minutes away from getting released because of his $6 million salary”

So if that is the case, it would make sense to keep the younger Kellen Clemens to be tutored by Favre and to jettison (no pun intended) Pennington straight into division rivals Miami’s lap.

I think this is certainly an interesting scenario and if the Jets do decide to dump Pennington then I for one, would love to see the Dolphins pick him up.

Leave a comment and tell us what you think!

ESPN Source: Bill Parcells Signed With Miami Dolphins

ESPN.Com is reporting a source as confirming that Bill Parcells has faxed a signed 4 year contract to the Dolphins to become their Executive Vice President of Football Operations.

This is an absolute coup for the Dolphins considering the season they have had and the effect that would likely have had on the recruiting process through free agency.  Bill Parcells not only brings a winning attitude to the Miami Dolphins but also the power to attract top name players to fill out the playing roster for the 2008 season.
