With airsoft rifles becoming more and more popular every day, there have been a lot of new airsoft based ecommerce websites popping up it seems. This is a good thing for the most part, but you still need to be fairly careful when choosing which airsoft gun retailer you give your money to.

While many of these online airsoft rifle retailers offer reasonable service, there will always be a few important things to take into consideration before you buy from one of them. The first thing that you may want to do is read their shipping policy, and make sure that they ship within a reasonable amount of time (some of these sites wont even ship your order out for 4-6 business days).

Another thing that you will definitely want to look at is their return policy. If they dont offer at least 15 days to return a defective gun for repair or replacement, then you are better off buying from somewhere else.

This is due to the fact that most of the airsoft guns (especially the airsoft sniper rifles) come from China, and they tend to be of somewhat questionable quality, at least when it comes to certain brands/manufacturers.

Certain brands of airsoft rifles are very unlikely to ever have a problem, but there are definitely a few brands that are known to have issues now and then. These particular brands are: AGM, Jing Gong, and WELL. So if you do purchase one of those brands, then be sure that the site you are buying from has a good return policy for defective items.

Last but not least, is the price. The price is generally fairly similar between most of the airsoft rifle retailers (at least the online ones). However, you will come across some sites that have their airsoft rifles priced downright ridiculous. Basically the best way to find best deal is to shop around and compare prices a bit. But again, it is highly recommended that you do your research, and go with a website that offer more than just good prices (IE: a solid return policy).

While there certainly isnt a lack of quality airsoft gun and airsoft sniper rifle retail websites, there are 3 sites that you cant really go wrong with. These 3 site are: Airsplat, Pyramydair, and AirsoftGi. For the most part Pyramydair and Airsplat are the sites with the lowest prices, but AirsoftGi has great prices too, and has exceptional customer service.

Also, between Airsplat and Pyramydair, Airsplat has the lower prices in most cases, but Pyramydair seems to respond a bit faster to their customer service questions etc. As far as location, Airsplat is located in California, while Pyramydair is based in Ohio. This can be a big factor in how long it takes for your airsoft rifle to arrive, especially if it is shipped via UPS or Fedex ground.

UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva had lost a lot of his luster coming into Saturday nights UFC 101 matchup with former light heavyweight champ Forrest Griffin. He was undefeated in his previous nine UFC contests, but his last three victories had been far from impressive. In his most recent bout, hed pouted and showboated his way to a unanimous decision victory by default against a thoroughly overwhelmed Thales Leites. On that night in Montreal hed heard an abundance of boos from the fans who at one point started a GSP chant in reference to his most frequent challenger for pound for pound MMA supremacy. Even Dana White criticized his effort and finally conceded that St. Pierre might, indeed, be the best all around fighter in the game.

There was none of that on display at UFC 101. Silva was simply dominant as he overwhelmed the naturally larger Griffin, knocking his opponent down three times before finishing the fight with a spectacular”yet almost effortless”straight right hand.

The live crowd in Philadelphia clearly favored the likable Griffin and gave him a huge ovation as he bounced to the ring to his trademark walk-in song Shipping Up To Boston by the Dropkick Murphys. Silva, meanwhile, received a smattering of boos as he confidently strode to the ring to the sound of Aint No Sunshine by rapper DMX. Silva displayed much more humility toward the fans than he has in his recent outings, bowing in all four directions after the entered the cage.

He displayed none of that courtesy toward Griffin once the fight began and was simply the wrecking machine that UFC fans had grown accustomed before his recent run of lackluster performances. Forrest came right at Silva, assuming that his natural size advantage would equate to a strength advantage as well.

The resolute Griffin quickly bounced to his feet, this time flashing a high kick which Silva easily countered for another knockdown. This one clearly hurt Griffin, though he once again made it back to his feet quickly and landed a combination of his own. This was his best”and last”offense of the fight. Silva quickly floored Griffin with a left hand that left little doubt to the eventual outcome of the contest.

Silva, backing up, landed a perfect and almost effortless straight right that sent Griffin down for good. The referee didnt even bother to count as he waved his arms over the prone fighter as Silva celebrated his win. Griffin quickly exited the cage and, reportedly, the arena. Postfight reports suggested that he wanted to get immediate medical attention for a dislocated jaw suffered on the penultimate knockdown.

Silva’s message in his postfight interview was simple: I want to fight against the best. Whoever the best is at the time, I want to fight them. Though Silva didnt really affirm that hed be campaigning more at the heavier weight, that was the implicit message of his comment.

Airsoft guns were built out of necessity. They have actually been around for a long period of time, even though they have only been introduced into the United States in more recent years. Airsoft guns are becoming increasingly popular and are used for recreational activities.

In the 1970s, these guns were initially developed because it was illegal to own any firearm in Japan. They were designed to be knock-offs of military weapons. Even though they shoot slower, there is an advantage to owning the spring-powered guns. One advantage is that they cost less. Another advantage is that they will always shoot without having to rely upon an outside power source.

The electric-powered guns operate off of batteries. The batteries operate an electric motor. These guns are usually automatics or semi-automatics. This means that they will continue to shoot with pressure on the trigger. With an automatic gun, you continue to put pressure on the trigger, only pulling it once, and the gun will continue to shoot until you release the trigger. With a semi-automatic gun, you have to continually pull the trigger. If you pull the trigger ten times in thirty seconds, the gun will short ten times in thirty seconds. The amount of shots that you get off depends on how fast you can pull the trigger. The automatic and the semi-automatic airsoft guns are better suited for competition.

As the years continue on, the guns have now taken on newer forms of technology. A Hybrid airsoft gun has now been developed. The Hybrid is more realistic compared to the other designs. The ammunition for this style is encased. This means that every time that you shoot, a shell casing will be ejected.

These guns are not made for little kids. They are recommended for ages 16 and older. Even though the ammunition will not break the skin, they can still be dangerous. You can find these guns at a large variety of retailers. For a pistol, expect to pay around $50. For a rifle, expect to pay $150 or more.

If you are looking for a different type of recreational activity to keep you entertained, then why not try the airsoft gun. These guns are completely safe to operate; the plastic BBs will not penetrate the skin. Instead of having paintball fights, now you can have airsoft gun fights. Fedor Emelianenko will make his debut for the Strikeforce MMA promotion this fall, facing undefeated prospect Brett Grim Rogers. Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker made the announcement at a Showtime promoted Fedor open workout in New York City. The promotion has yet to announce a date or a venue, though the event is expected to take place in November with San Jose or Fresno being likely locations given their strong support of previous Strikeforce events.

Fedor is considered by most experts to be the best heavyweight MMA fighter in the world, if not the best of all time. He snubbed the UFC following Afflictions exit from the MMA promotion business, choosing to sign with the up-and-coming Strikeforce promotion. Strikeforce agreed to co-promote with M1 Global, a Russian based promotion company owned by Fedor’s manager Vadim Finkelchtein and to allow the fighter a non-exclusive deal that would enable him to compete in Japan and Eastern Europe.

After signing with Strikeforce, Fedor was typically low key:

I am looking forward to going back to work and fighting at the highest level. STRIKEFORCE is a top fight promotion that houses some of the greatest fighters in the world. I am prepared to fight any of them.

Emelianenkos manager, Vadim Finkelchtein commented:

I am very happy and excited about the upcoming collaboration with Strikeforce. We are very pleased that we found a reliable partner and I feel that Strikeforce and M-1 can support each other on many things. This will create big opportunities for both parties to test their fighters against worthy opponents.

Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker concurred:

We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to work with M-1 Global and Fedor. Fedor has been the reigning king of MMAs heavyweight division for quite some time now so being able to work with M-1 and Fedor will substantially increase the level of competition amongst the athletes in this weight class.

Fedor will put his 26 fight winning streak on the line against Brett Grim Rogers, who himself will enter the fray with an unblemished 10-0 record. The Minnesota native was originally being groomed by Elite XC as an opponent for street fighting phenom Kimbo Slice. After the demise of that promotion, Kimbo ended up on the UFC reality show The Ultimate Fighter while Rogers went to Strikeforce.

Considering that Emelianenko was a -500 choice at many books in the ill fated Affliction matchup against Josh Barnett(ranked the #2 heavyweight in the world at the time), he could be a -750 chalk or higher against the tough but inexperienced Rogers.

Airsoft guns were designed because of need that was recognized by manufacturers. The need was in Japan, back in the 1970s. One could not own a firearm as it was illegal. So, manufacturers designed the airsoft gun. They incorporated knock-off military design with plastic BBs for ammunition. The ammunition is considered safe as the plastic BBs will not penetrate the skin.

The first airsoft guns were spring-powered, single-shot weapons. After each shot, one would have to physically pull a lever, bolt, or other form of mechanism to reload the chamber with more ammunition. This makes the shooting process slow. As with anything else, new technology was developed and then incorporated into the design of the airsoft guns. Next, electric-powered and gas-powered guns were developed. It did come in semi-automatic and automatic versions, which made it more likable than the single-shot, spring-powered relative that was developed first.

The semi-automatic gun was also suitable for competition. It didn’t fire rounds any faster than the automatic version; however, it was still fast. With this weapon, every time that you pulled the trigger, the gun would fire. You didn’t have to pull a slide, lever, bolt, or any other mechanism. You just had to depress the trigger. The faster that one could depress the trigger, the faster that the gun would fire the rounds of ammunition.

The disadvantage of the automatic and the semi-automatic airsoft guns were that one had to be reliant upon the outside power source. Without that power source, the gun would not operate. This made the single-shot, spring-powered airsoft gun more reliable.

Now, gas-powered airsoft guns have been developed. They operate off of pressurized CO2 gas. You have to purchase the gas separately from the ammunition. These guns provide more pressure with the shot. This means that the gun will shoot a longer distance. This version also comes in an automatic and semi-automatic version.

Airsoft guns can be purchased in both pistol and rifle models. You can expect to pay $50 and upwards for the airsoft technology. The safe design of the plastic BBs make this gun friendlier because the ammunition will not penetrate the skin; however, the guns are still considered to be dangerous. It is for this reason that the guns are not recommended for anyone under the age of 16. Manufacturers recommended that people age 16 and older operate the gun. They also recommend that everyone abide by the necessary safety precautions that are needed with this technology.
