Shanna Tellerman is the Founder & CEO of Modsy, an online design service that uses 3D technology to show you expert-curated products in a virtual version of your room. The inspiration for Modsy was born from Shanna’s deep passion for the intersection of art and technology–with graphics seeming to satisfy both interests. Having had previous experience as a partner at Google Ventures, Shanna has been lauded as one of the best young entrepreneurs of the last few years. A deserving distinction, considering the brand has raised over $30 million to date. Now that’s a lot of design dough. When she’s not busy leading her successful company, Shanna enjoys running and a good glass of wine–both of which are currently on hold as she is expecting her first child. Wondering what this impressive boss does after work hours? Find out below.
30 P.M. I’m usually leaving the office around this point in the day. Some days I leave a little earlier, but as a startup, the day runs a bit longer.
P.M. Snacking while we figure out dinner. When I get home I’m always starving and find something to snack on – carrots, hummus, cheese and crackers . . . a glass of wine when I’m not pregnant.  My husband, sister (who lives with us) and I generally take turns at dinner.  Sometimes we’re a bit more successful with preparing something homemade and sometimes we’re relying on a quick meal (caviar for delivery or a frozen pizza). We try to sit down and eat dinner together. I love the routine of spending a few minutes at night together and talking about our days.
P.M. Back to emails. My day is generally spent pretty heavily loaded with meetings while I’m in the office so my emails will pile up a bit.  I use the evenings to sit on the sofa with our dog Whisper by my side and I can quickly crank through the open emails without distraction.
P.M. My husband and I will often get into a conversation about something (work, life, etc). We love talking through issues together and generally use one another as a sounding board. He’s a CFO for early-stage startups and together we help one another make key decisions, talk through organizational challenges, celebrate wins and reassure one another when we hit a tough point in the business.
30 P.M. Heading to bed. I love to try to get into bed between 9:30 and 10 (not always successful). I’m an early riser and love a good solid night of sleep. My evening skincare routine consists of LilyAna Naturals Eye Cream MoisturizerHello Incredibly Smooth Skin MaskArcona Cranberry Toner, and Epicuren Colostrum Luminous Glow CreamI’ll generally decompress in bed by reading a few articles, playing Candy Crush (admitting my addiction) or browsing through Instagram.
P.M. By 10 P.M. (10:30 on a later night) I’m usually sound asleep!
