When a French woman talks about her beauty routine, we take notes. Parisians have mastered the art of no-makeup-makeup, which usually includes an effortless glow and mile-long lashes that practically inspired Maybelline’s tagline “maybe she’s born with it.” Claire Most is no exception, and instantly makes any Instagram follower wish they had her lit-from-within skin with each of her posts. Luckily for us, this 26-year-old is revealing her nightly skincare regimen, so that we can all replicate her radiant complexion and mesmerizing glow. Though Claire is going through several transitions–by trading finance for a top job in fashion and moving from her beloved Paris to Amsterdam–she always makes time for her enviable skincare routine. Below, she breaks down a typical night in her shoes.
6:30 P.M. Most of the time, I am still at work, but if we’re not that busy, I’m able to head home. On my way, I try to call my family or my friends, or I am just on Instagram, looking for inspiration or watching Instagram stories.
7 P.M. When I arrive home, I chill a bit and I prepare some food. I’ve been obsessed with chicken, oyster sauce, and spring onions lately!
8 P.M. Once or twice a week, I wash my hair and it is a real process. I detangle my hair with an Indian oil called Hamla. I am not a fan of the smell, but it makes my hair so easy to detangle and it’s really moisturizing!
8:30 P.M. Then I wash my hair and I do a mask that I let sit for 15 to 30 minutes under a plastic cap. I am in love with the Shea Moisture with Manuka Honey. It smells amazing and my hair is definitely more moisturized when I use it. At the same time, I am doing my skincare routine. I have been looking at so many Korean skincare regimens lately, but there are a lot of steps so sometimes it doesn’t happen. Once I have removed my makeup, I massage my face with Argan oil for 2 minutes. Then, I use a cleanser (currently it’s Dr Bronner) and rinse my face with warm water, and then with cold water. I have to say, the double cleanse really makes a difference.
9 P.M. Finally, I use the Avocado Eye Cream from Khiel’s and Night Cream from Cien. This cream is really cheap but honestly, I love it! If my skin really needs it, I put a few drops of the Midnight Recovery Serum from Khiel’s.
Back to my hair: after styling it, I let it air dry for a bit. If it’s taking particularly long, I’ll use my diffuser to speed up the process.
9:30 P.M. By this time, I am watching a movie with my boyfriend. I have just finished the 10 seasons of Friends and I am looking for a new series so if you have any recommendations, let me know ☺.
11:30 P.M. Bedtime! After one last Instagram check, I brush my teeth then I drink some water and put some Homeoplasmine on my lips. The next morning they are really soft, which I love.
