Chastity Garner Valentine and CeCe Olisa are the co-founders of theCURVYcon, a three-day event that brings plus-size brands, bloggers, and creators into one space to tackle topics like confidence, fashion, wellness, and body positivity. Beyond theCURVYcon, Chastity is the influencer behind Garnerstyle, a blog she started in 2008, when she saw that plus-size style was incredibly underrepresented. From the beginning, her “mission has been to improve the options available through advocacy behind the scenes and unapologetic style in front of the scenes.” Like her co-founder, CeCe is also a creator, and her inspiring Tedx Talk “How to Build Self-Confidence,” has over 250,000 views online. We asked these impressive bosses to tell us what they do after work hours. Chastity and CeCe share their workout, music, and cooking-filled nightly routines below.

6:30 P.M.
Chastity: Mondays and Wednesdays I take spin classes at Cycle Elan. The other nights I’m on dinner duty (by way of Blue Apron) as I try to stay out of restaurants and cook in a way that is supportive of my health and the health of my family.
CeCe: I do my best not to work through the night anymore, so I close my windows and I make a point to turn my computer off completely. I’m sensitive to electronic devices, so recently I’ve started turning off all laptops, computers, flat screens, etc. It may sound quirky, but my apartment feels more silent when I power everything off for the night. Then I turn on music—right now I’m listening to lots of Amber Mark, Normani, and Ari Lennox.

7:00 P.M.
Chastity: I’m either still in spin class or having dinner and talking to my spouse about the day or the latest political topic. We love watching both mainstream and YouTube political conversations.
CeCe: When I don’t have a dinner date or meeting for theCURVYcon, I love to make dinner at home. These days my favorite meal to whip up is pan-seared salmon, sautéed kale, and butternut squash noodles with pesto. I have PCOS so, pasta noodles are perfect for when I crave pasta (which is all I ate in college!). When the weather is nice, I take dinner onto my balcony and enjoy it outside. I recently moved into my dream apartment and sitting on the balcony enjoying the view is one of my favorite ways to practice gratitude.

8:00 P.M.
Chastity: This is my shower/bath time. I take a lot of baths to help facilitate restful sleep. I light candles. My current favorite candle comes from Peau Veloutee, it’s a soy candle and my scent of choice is Cashmere and Pear. I use Epsom bath salts, and my favorite body wash, Caress Daily Silk, during my bath.
CeCe: I’ve lived in New York City long enough to be considered a New Yorker, but I grew up in California. I’m very close to my family and it can be difficult to be so far away from them, so I typically catch up with my family via phone or Facetime while I wind down for the day. While I chat with my parents or sisters, I boil some water for tea. I’m in the process of healing my gut and I find that a warm drink before bed is something my body likes.

8:30 P.M.
Chastity: This is the time that I usually start my skincare routine for the night. I have a rather intense routine with about 7 steps. It starts with a Pixi Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel. My routine ends with the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping mask so I can hydrate while I’m sleeping.
CeCe: Chastity got me into skincare over the last few years, so I love to pull my hair into a bun and do a skincare routine. I’ve been using BOLDEN skincare products (they’re in Target stores!). I finish my routine by misting the Caudalie Beauty Elixir Mist; it feels so good on freshly washed and moisturized skin. I’ve been growing my hair out in sisterlocks over the last 5 years, so I take care of my hair by keeping it moisturized. I always have roses in my home and I like to pull a few petals from my bouquets to incorporate into my beauty routines. I keep a spray bottle with water and fresh rose petals, I mist my hair with my rose water, and apply a little leave-in conditioner. Cotton pillowcases are very drying and damaging to my skin and hair, so I wrap my hair up at night with a satin hair bonnet and sleep on a satin pillowcase.

9:00 P.M.
Chastity: I slide into my favorite pajamas, currently a Lauren by Ralph Lauren button-down sleep shirt. I’m in bed checking any social media before I put my phone down for the night.
CeCe: I typically fall asleep pretty easily, but if I want to stay up a bit I crawl under the covers with my tea and a good book, I’m reading Akata Witch by Nnedi Okorafor right now.

9:30 P.M.
Chastity: I watch an episode of Star Trek. My husband is into Star Trek, but I love falling asleep to the show. Star Trek is dimly lit on the screen and a lot of the sound is monotone. I find it to be a very soothing show to watch before bed.
CeCe: I’m asleep, dreaming of an *NSYNC reunion!

Time you go to bed:
Chasity: My mornings tend to start early. I try to be asleep by 10 or 10:30pm.
CeCe: 9pm!
