Want to reduce your carbon footprint? Try following ours. Even though the weather is cooling down, the Earth is still heating up (sad day, we know). It’s also still spinning, which means errands / hangouts / work aren’t leaving our calendars anytime soon. That’s why this fall, we’re showing which steps to take for a more sustainable lifestyle.

We’ve curated a Saturday schedule full of climate-conscious activities (and outfits) from A.M. to P.M, so that you can give the planet a break while taking one, too. And we’re kicking off each hour with Thousand Fell, who’s giving us (and you!) the first chance to see their new recyclable Court sneakers that dropped literally hours ago... So let’s go from day to night to, “Yeah, I’m a climate activist now.”

MORNING

8 A.M. Start your day with a clean skincare regimen. (Psst: “Clean” is a marketing buzzword these days, so here are tips to gauge if a brand is actually going green or just trying to make some.) Look for buys with keywords like zero-waste and climate-neutral—with the certifications to back it up! And maybe grab this biodegradable bamboo toothbrush, too. Once your cabinet is stocked, stay present during each step with some affirmations.
8:30 A.M. Enjoy one of these plant-based breakfasts (trust us, the chocolate chip coconut pancakes are much tastier than they look), then brew a cup of ethically sourced, organic coffee.
9:15 A.M. Throw on a daytime outfit that makes you feel (and look) like a Pocketful of Sunshine, complemented by these white Court Sneakers, which have cushioned insoles made from recycled yoga mats for extra lift and support.
10 A.M. E-scoot to the farmer’s market to pick up some fresh produce for dinner, and don’t forget to bring your cotton mesh bag, which can save over 22k (!) single-use plastic ones.

AFTERNOON

12 P.M. Change into an ethically sourced athleisure look for an afternoon of woman-powered transit. And don’t worry about beating (TMI alert) sweaty feet, because these pop-of-green Court sneakers have a breathable, anti-odor liner coated with aloe vera to keep you fresh from toe-to-toe. (Pro tip: You can even go sockless and not cause a stink.)
12:30 P.M. Put your Tidying Up binge-watch to good use by giving your closet a seasonal cleanse, separating pieces that haven’t sparked joy in over a year. And since thrifting helps the world go round, bike to your BFF’s place to host your own clothing swap. (At least you’ll know your Gucci belt from 2016 is in the right hands, and you can borrow it anytime.)
2:30 P.M. We sense a midday slump. Grab fuel with your friend (matcha + oat milk = a match made in heaven) with this reusable cup that collapses to fit in your purse.
3:15 P.M. Fill up this sleek, reusable water bottle before leaving the cafe, then bus to a nearby walking trail together to connect with nature (and share gossip that can only be uttered 100 feet from other humans).

EVENING

5 P.M. Ride public transpo home, then take a 5-minute shower using zero-waste shampoo & conditioner. While the water is heating up, catch some of it in a large pot or bin to water your plants with later. When it’s scalp massage time, don’t forget to turn off the flow!
5:30 P.M. Apply your night-out makeup with eco-conscious brands, then throw on a city-chic ‘fit tied together with these black-accented Court sneakers. Their water- and stain-repellent bio-leather stays pristine for years, but once your shoes do reach the end of their lifespan, bring them to one of Thousand Fell’s 14k take-back locations to be reborn. (You can even track the circular recycling process from your phone.)
6 P.M. Whip up a vegan meal with your organic produce from the farmer’s market, like this spicy miso eggplant + broccoli salad. Fruit-infused water should also be on the menu.
6:30 P.M. Bike to a nearby park for a sunset picnic with your friends! Ditch the brown paper bag for this basket tote that’s cute, spacious, and sustainable. Then head to an outdoor concert, comedy show, or play to wind down the day.
9 P.M. Pedal home and cozy up with Kelly Brenner’s Nature Obscura: A City’s Hidden Natural World to learn about all the nature around us. Bonus if you dream about hugging trees.
