Anyone else counting down the days until their next vacay? ✋

Well, Amina Belouizdad Porter (she/her), CEO of private airport terminal PS, wants to help you relax before your flight takes off. “We allow you to get on any commercial flight without stepping foot in the airport as you know it,” she says. “Instead, you relax in beautifully designed spaces, enjoy fresh, chef-prepared food, and experience quick seamless security screenings in our own PS terminal. The experience feels more like a private members club than an airport, and we even escort you in a BMW on the tarmac to and from your flight.”

Um, say more. “We launched in LA 5 years ago, and are gearing up to open in Atlanta, Dallas, and Miami over the next year. I can’t wait until we are in every major airport in the US so we can allow our members and guests to fly to all their fave destinations without going through airports.”

It’s finally spring! Which means that Spring Break is upon us. What’s your top travel tip?
My top tip is to stick to a single family of colors when packing clothes. Say, only earth tones, or black, gray, and white. This allows you to mix-and-match endlessly and pack fewer items as a result. Whether I’m going on a beach vacation or traveling for work, I always wear the same airplane uniform: a sweatsuit set, my trusted PS baseball cap, and sneakers. It’s comfortable and neutral, and makes for a versatile extra outfit regardless of my destination. I always take my old-school Prada nylon backpack on the plane with me for the same reason—it’s hands free and, in a pinch, can pass for polished. When my checked bag was recently delayed en route to Paris, I went out to dinner in my travel outfit and (I hope) it got written off as LA street style!

Do you have any beauty must-haves for travel days?
I’m not big into makeup in general, and I find travel to be a great excuse to go even more minimal with it—just moisturize, brush on a swig of mascara, and apply a quick lip tint. It’s not easy to look refreshed after airports and planes, but simplicity does the trick. My must-pack beauty products are the NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil that I like to slather on my face and body for a non-sticky moisture and glow, and the Clé de Peau Beauté Lip Glorifier which is a lightly tinted, ultra-hydrating balm.

We also heard you have advice on jet lag. What’s the secret to help with that?
I’d love to know the secret [laughing]! My advice is to do your best to not succumb to jet lag on the first day of traveling as the first day sets the tone. So, if I land during the day, I’ll keep busy and try to be outdoors (pro tip: the sunshine helps with circadian rhythms) and see friends or go to meetings. I won’t allow myself to lay down or rest until it’s actually bedtime. If I land during the evening/night, I will stay off screens, tuck myself in, and drink a calming tea to try to trick myself into sleeping. It’s not a perfect system, but I find that it works! Oh, and drink water, water, and more water.
