Why I'm...

Black Friday has become quite the controversial holiday (many people believe it promotes overconsumption), and rightfully so, but I maintain that there’s a way to do it right. This year, I’m making a conscious effort to purchase only investment pieces that I can keep for years to come. As much as I’d love to drop some cash on splurge-worthy items whenever I please… in this economy, it’s just not happening. So, what better time than now to treat myself to a little luxury? Here’s what’s on my list for BF 2023.
Jewelry: I’ve been missing out on a pair of everyday earrings. I usually go for a larger, chunky hoop earring but I have my eye on these huggies for the days I want to keep things minimal. I also wear a stack of thin bracelets daily, but I’ve been craving something a little more bold. I like this chainlink piece that I can eventually add charms to if I’d like. (You can save 25% off at Mejuri on Black Friday, as long as you spend $150+.)
Clothing: I’ve grown tired of buying low-quality basics that I need to restock every season. This year, I’m investing in a 25% off cozy cashmere sweater in an oatmeal shade that I can pair with anything. I’ve also wanted to add an AllSaints jacket to my wardrobe since forever, and this biker jacket is exactly my style and finally under $400 for Black Friday. The Frankie Shop makes some of the best blazers in the game, and I found one within my budget (aka nearly half-off), so there’s no doubt I’m getting it this weekend.
Shoes & Accessories: I have the thigh-high version of these boots, but they’re not ideal for everyday wear, so I’m aiming to save on the knee-high style today. Belts are back in a big way, and I realized I don’t have many, so I’m investing in a black one that I can wear with all my denim. (Both are 40% off at Shopbop with code HOLIDAY.)
Happy shopping 🛍️,
