Feeling hot and bothered? Maybe not yet, but hearing from Caroline Spiegel (she/her), founder + CEO of Quinn, might change all that. If you haven’t seen their viral TikToks, it’s our pleasure (hehe) to introduce you to the app and its founder. Told you you’d need the recs above!

What is Quinn? Why did you found the company?
Quinn is an app for audio erotica. It’s a place to listen to erotic audio stories from your favorite voices on the internet.

I founded Quinn in 2019 when I was in my senior year at Stanford. I had taken time off from school to recover from an eating disorder, and, during my recovery, struggled with sexual dysfunction. When looking into solutions, I found that the FDA had approved 30+ sexual dysfunction solutions for men, and zero for women. I became curious about the sexual wellness and erotic content products in the market, and stumbled upon audio erotica on Reddit and Tumblr. It was a total “aha” moment, and I fell in love with the genre. The rest is history!

What exactly is audio erotica? What kinds of different audios exist on the app?
They are short immersive audio roleplays—when you listen, it feels like you’re in the scenario with the voice actor, and they’re talking directly to you. Our most popular tag is Boyfriend followed by MDom which is a “man in a dominant role.” We have everything from medieval princess audios to professor audios to friends to lovers audios—we have something for everyone.

Like you said, Quinn is made by women, but for everyone. How did you ensure that the content would be inclusive and exciting for many types of people?
We are constantly working on expanding our library, and have tripled the size of our queer library in the past year. We host WLW and M4M audios, nonbinary voices, and audios without gendered language.

What are your fave genres on the site? Any recs for newbies?
I’d recommend the Newbie playlist or one of our celebrity-voiced Quinn Originals for someone new to audio erotica. My favorite genre is enemies to lovers—love that snarky tension!

As we approach Valentine’s Day, a lot of us have sex on the brain. Apart from hosting audios, Quinn is also a site for education and celebrating pleasure. Why is this so important?
It’s so important to develop pleasure literacy and to get to know your own body. Our pleasure is our own individual responsibility, and we can’t have fulfilling sex with others until we get to know ourselves.
