As of today, model, actress, and author Emily Ratajkowski (she/her) can officially add podcaster to her long list of accomplishments. High Low wants to get into the nitty gritty of all things conversational: politics, philosophy, pop culture, feminism, sex, relationships, and ofc, TikTok. EmRata says, “Every week will be different, [but] I’m excited for the dialogue and discourse that can happen with a podcast and I’m looking forward to building a community.”

Keep reading to find out what her latest venture will look like, why her POV is just like ours, and what her drink of choice is. (Hint: It’s stunnin’.)

What can we expect from High Low?
High Low will feature 2 episodes per week. The first will be a convo with a person I’m inspired by or interested in and the second will be a solo episode entitled “EmRata Asks” where I pose a question and then investigate it, providing food for thought and potentially an answer. There will also be a subscription episode where listeners can share their thoughts on a topic, [because] I want everything to be an ongoing conversation!

Any guest appearances you can share about?
Lots of women. Lots of incredible women.

You want to discuss both high and lowbrow topics. Why’s that?
I think high and low are completely married. Everything is political, and it’s a mistake to ever disregard something because of its associations. Separately, the criticism of women’s interest in “lowbrow” topics is usually just sexism and a way of disregarding women. I’ve experienced that first hand throughout my life and in my career. I titled the podcast High Low not just because of what I want to talk about, but also because I see myself as a multifaceted person who (hopefully) dismantles some of the preconceived notions we have around what is highbrow vs. lowbrow.

As someone who’s been in the spotlight for awhile, what informs your worldview?
My perspective and politics have been formed just as anyone’s are—through personal experience and education.

Why do you like TikTok so much?
TikTok is an incredible tool for education and the first platform that encourages people to use it however they see fit. There has never been a channel like it.

What are some of your fav podcasts?
I grew up listening to NPR—I loved This American Life. Now I listen to Call Her Daddy and On with Kara Swisher.

And finally, what should we drink while listening to your podcast?
A negroni… sbagliato… with Prosecco in it.sk
