For Skye Townsend (she/her), it’s all skits and giggles. The actress and comedian is the youngest funny girl to join the cast of HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show. She gets dolled up, down, and every other direction to embody wacky personas, but here’s what happens once she’s out of a v impressive Drake drag.

30 P.M. love unwinding to music after a long day. I put in my headphones, light some incense, and sit down right when I walk through the door. It’s important to allow myself a moment to just be still before knocking anything else out.

P.M. I take a long walk every day around sunset before I eat dinner. I try to get in my 10,000 steps since I can’t work out in the middle of a shoot. Well… I could, but I don’t want to sweat off the makeup [laughing].

P.M. I try to cook something simple like pasta or a veggie bowl if I’m tired. I am guilty of ordering in a lot when I’m busy because I want to eat the second I get home. I love ordering ramen or Indian food. I’m also a serial snacker, so it’s important to get a meal before I destroy everything edible in sight. I usually binge a show while I eat or Facetime my sister to get in her business.

P.M. I shower, then do my skincare routine while watching reality shows. I am a big fan of Kiehl’s and use their avocado eye cream and moisturizer. For my toner and rose water spray, I stick to Mario Badescu. I also love a good face massage to relieve tension and puffiness at the end of my routine. I am a gua-sha girl and I AM PROUD OF IT!

P.M. I move all 1,000 of my pillows and then hop in bed. When I have difficulty sleeping, I put on some soft spa music to help keep my thoughts centered. My brain can easily start cooking negative thoughts if I don’t keep it distracted. High vibrating music is a wonderful cheat code for anyone with anxiety and insomnia… oh, and deep breathing, too!

P.M. I usually knock out, but if I am feeling extremely creative, I cannot rest until I flush out the ideas keeping me up. On nights like those, I am up until 4 A.M. easily.
