Fairies just wanna have fun. And that’s definitely true in Netflix’s Fate: The Winx Saga. (Psst, the second season drops today!) Among the characters is water fairy Aisha played by Precious Mustapha (she/her), who balances attending magical boarding school, having a strict swim sched, and various Otherworld problems.

Here, the London lady reveals who’s the mom friend of the cast, which live-actions need to happen ASAP, and what superpower she really wants.

Your character Aisha is crowned the mom friend of the group. Is that true for you?
I’m probably more of the laid-back one. I’m not super organized, so I let people take the lead and tend to just go with the flow.

Who’s the mom friend in the Winx cast?
Elisha [who plays Musa] and Hannah [who plays Stella] are both Virgos, so they’re super organized. I remember when filming Season 1, Hannah organized an escape room and that was really fun.

The show is based on Nickelodeon’s Winx Club from the 2000s. Which cartoons would you love to see as live-action?
I’ve actually got a few! Dexter’s Laboratory would be so cool because it’s fun and very current. I was obsessed with Ben 10 growing up. There is a live-action film of it, but I want to see it made darker like [our show]. And then… oh my gosh, Totally Spies.

That’d be a childhood dream come true! Back to your show, though. You play a water fairy, but if you had to possess any power IRL, what would it be?
To teleport would be amazing. Do you remember that film Jumper? I love the idea of being able to jump to any location in the world. You’d never be late and it would be good for the environment because you wouldn’t have to take a plane anywhere. Think about how much money we’d save, too!

Although the show is a bit darker, there are so many funny moments as well. Who makes you laugh the most on set? Any stories to share?
Everyone’s quite funny, because everyone has a specific sense of humor. Eliot [who plays Terra] is more intellectually funny and brilliantly witty. Abby [who plays Bloom] is really goofy. I don’t think she means to be funny, but she falls a lot and is quite clumsy. She also always breaks out into song [laughing]. Working with Brandon [who plays new boy Grey] was hilarious because we both have the same sense of humor. It was almost harder to get through scenes with him. I remember when we were filming our first kiss scene, he joked around about eating a tuna sandwich just before. Even though that’s not what you should do, it made me laugh, which is just what I needed at that moment.

The season ends on a huge cliffhanger. What emoji would you use to describe your reaction?
