Jaclyn Johnson is the Founder of Create & Cultivate, the platform for women creating and cultivating the career of their dreams. Before starting her extremely popular company, Jaclyn had sold her first multimillion dollar brand, No Subject, at 28 years old. Recognizing the lack of communities for female millennial entrepreneurs, she set out to create the media platform and conference she wished she had as an entrepreneur--and Create & Cultivate was born. With over 75 events to date, and conferences with sponsors like Amazon, LinkedIn, and Microsoft, Jaclyn has also landed speakers like Kim Kardashian West, Jessica Alba, and Gloria Steinem. We wanted to know what this constantly on-the-go founder does to get ready for a busy day--find Jaclyn's morning routine below.

Time you wake up: I get up pretty early at around 6am, usually by my dog Noah–he’s a trusty alarm clock, but thankfully I’m a morning person.

6:15 A.M. I will usually take Noah for a walk, throw on a hoodie and hit the road with him. If I am ambitious, I try to make time to be active, whether it’s a hike at Griffith Park with my pup or making a Paris pilates class–I don’t always get to work out, sometimes the office calls 🙁

7:00 A.M. Once I am back from the walk, I spend time with my husband listening to NPR while we make breakfast. Usually it’s coffee (Nespresso Vertuoline is my fave) and juice (anything with Turmeric) and lately gluten-free cinnamon Kashi waffles. They are the bomb and easy to make.

7:30 A.M. I usually head to the office at this time. On my commute in, I binge podcasts, usually true crime. A few of my favorites are My Favorite Murder, Broken Harts and more recently To Live & Die in LA. Also shameless plug but our WorkParty podcast is a great car time killer too!

8:00 A.M. I like to be in the office ahead of everyone to get a few hours to myself. It’s nice to have the time to catch up on what’s needed and plan the day ahead before back-to-back calls! Every day is a little different as we’re always juggling a few different events. Sometimes at this time I’m walking into my first meeting, other times I’m boarding a plane.

9:00 A.M. Team meetings (we have employees on the east coast, so we usually gather in the conference room) or one-on-ones with my senior leadership to get the week kicked off, also selfishly will play with the office dogs cause they are the best! I also start my daily list–each day I create a massive to-do list, broken out by project so I know where to spend my time & energy. The work begins! Whether it’s creating the next stage for our conference or determining our next keynote speaker, it’s hard work, meetings and go-time from the time the morning starts!

11:00 A.M. To be real I am probably contemplating my lunch order at this point, our new office has a fully built-out kitchen so we can actually cook in the office which is so nice!
