Nastassia Ponomarenko knows how to work things out… literally. What started as a project to share her fitness journey on YouTube has turned into a full-time business in just three years. Now the founder and CEO of the athletic apparel company Nasty Fit, Nastassia is also author of From Dust To Discipline: Achieve Your Fullest Potential, and soon to be podcast host. She shared her morning routine, go-to bagel order, and favorite skincare products with us.

6:00 A.M. This is when I wake up during quarantine. I usually get about 7 hours of sleep. I was never a natural morning person and it took me a long time to have the discipline that I have now, but sheesh… it was so worth it!

6:10 A.M. Ahh, cold shower time! I recently started incorporating this into my morning routine as it really helps me feel awake, accomplished, and ready to conquer anything. On top of that, [I feel like] it helps boost my immune system! I only do this for about a minute or two.

6:20 A.M. Time to pray, manifest, and journal. I do this every morning and night for about 5 to 10 minutes. This consists of me essentially giving thanks for my health, the abundance of opportunity, safety, those who are close in my life, and more. I have a small list of life goals that I like reading every day to remind myself of where I want to be.

6:30 A.M. Workout and stretch time. On a leg day, I actually lack quite a bit of motivation to do my workout, so now I have started following other people’s workouts on YouTube. I exercise at home now about 5 to 6 times a week; the other day I will go for a jog, which I really don’t like doing, but it makes me feel so good after!

7:30 A.M. I head to Noah’s Bagels for breakfast. (I almost never make breakfast at home.) I always get the Power Egg White on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. It feels like a great reward after a good workout.

8:00 A.M. Honestly, I don’t usually shower after my workout, but it really depends… if I sweat a lot, then of course. If I sweat a bit or not at all, I don’t shower. But every night I shower regardless. For skincare, all I use is one glycolic cleanser. My favorite moisturizing product to use on my face is Aquaphor though. So good!

8:30 A.M. I’m back in my apartment and ready to start working. I love to put my phone in another room so I don’t get distracted. If I don’t plan out my workday the night before, then this is the time I do it now. It’s important for me to plan so I don’t randomly float throughout my day not knowing which big task or little task I need to do. My work now consists of building my new tech company. I love it and wouldn’t have it any other way.
