That’s what Namita Gupta (she / her) reads every day on her bathroom mirror’s sticky note. It gives her the confidence to be the Creator Marketing Lead of Partnerships at Pinterest, and the founder and CEO of humble co.—a fashion line grounded in individualistic style. She also focuses her business on causes close to her heart, like highlighting the stigma around mental health within South Asian communities by donating a % of sales to The Live Love Laugh Foundation.

Here, we chatted with the LA local about her appreciation for meditation, what she wears during Zoom meetings, and how running a small biz helped her get through a rough year.

7:30 A.M. After turning off my alarm, I stare at the ceiling for a few minutes. I live a lot of life in my own head—I always have constant thoughts. My notifications are turned off to avoid distractions, but I check my messages in case I’ve received anything urgent. I try my best to save the scroll for later!

8 A.M. I spend 5 minutes every morning meditating. I tell myself it’s going to be a good day, push through any negative thoughts, and know that no matter what, there’s always a solution. When I was diagnosed with depression, creating humble co. is what helped heal me. I spent every spare moment I had in 2020 concepting the brand, and finally brought it to life in October 2021. Ever since the launch, I’ve been grateful that I get to live out my dream.

8:30 A.M. Loungewear is my style. My go-to pants are always my Outdoor Voices joggers or my Vuori pants. Depending on my meetings, I’ll pair them with my elephant print humble co. turtleneck, which is so trendy and insanely comfortable, the black/white waffle, or my humble co. blue crew sweatshirt—the material is next level. I leave my apartment every day to get out of the house for a bit before I start work. Now that we work from home, this is my “commute” that allows a change of scenery.

9 A.M. I start work, though sometimes I get my best work done in bed at night when I’m relaxed.

10 A.M. My breakfast switches off between 2 boiled eggs with salt and pepper and 2 scrambled eggs with onions, zucchini, and spinach. Once in a while, I treat myself to Cafe Gratitude’s acai bowl.
