She puts the “care” in skincare. Darya Hope Pishevar is an environmentalist and the founder of sustainable beauty line Darya Hope. Aside from formulating products that protect our skin layers and the planet’s, her company also gives back to orgs like Girl UpMalala Fund, and The Pad Project to support women and girls—a cause we can always get behind.

Here, the 21-year-old shares why the sun > an alarm clock, how she stays curious by picking up new hobbies, and how her products leveled up her morning routine. (BTW, this one smells so good.)

6 A.M. I find loud alarms stressful, so I keep my blinds open so that natural light wakes me up. The first thing I do is check my phone and address any urgent work-related emails or texts. I try to avoid Instagram and TikTok, but on some mornings, I find myself absent-mindedly scrolling. I’m trying to get better at not doing this!

6:15 A.M. I’ve recently started stretching every morning to wake up my body and boost my flexibility. Afterward, I’ll write in my journal. I usually journal in-depth at night but like to write what I’m grateful for at the beginning of each day. It completely resets my mood.

6:30 A.M. I’ll dress for the gym, then I’ll meet my trainer and we’ll focus on either weights or cardio. If it’s the weekend, I’ll attend a pilates class.

7:30 A.M. I’ve recently started playing the harp to remain curious and try new things, so if it’s Monday or Friday, I head to my lesson. On other days, I spend more time getting ready. I’ll take a warm shower and cleanse my face using our Triple Cleanse Facial System, which removes dirt, makeup, and impurities while balancing your skin’s pH. I purposefully created it to mimic the effects of an invigorating professional facial! I’m also testing a body wash that’s being formulated by our chief scientist, so I’ll text him my feedback when I get out of the shower.

7:45 A.M. I only wash my hair a few times a week, so The Crown Affair’s dry shampoo and hair oil are my saviors. I have dehydrated skin, so I religiously apply Dr. Barbara Sturm’s Anti-Aging Body Cream or MUTHA’s Body Oil post-shower.

8:15 A.M. I get dressed and make a smoothie or eggs with avocado. Then I take my dog for a walk. During this time, I’ll chat with my assistant about the day’s schedule, including investor meetings, press interviews, and meetings with my team.

9 A.M. I’ll start my first meeting or respond to emails. I work in 50-minute intervals and take regular breaks, which I’ve found helps me be more productive and focused. Right now we’re planning for Earth Day. From Darya Hope’s inception, I’ve wanted to create a sustainable and ethical brand that people feel good about spending their money on. So in addition to having responsibly-sourced ingredients and recyclable packaging, we donate $1 from every sale to SeaLegacy, whose mission is to create healthy and abundant oceans.

11 A.M. If I’m traveling, I meet my assistant and stylist to discuss my schedule, plan my outfits, and plan the content I need to shoot for our social media channels while I’m away.
