HAVE OLIVIA’S PLAYLIST ON REPEAT.

Who Could Say No to dancing to Olivia Lunny (she/her)? Certainly not us. The Canadian musician is always down to deliver dynamic alt pop tunes, with a dusting of emotional depth. After taking up guitar and writing her first song at 12-years-old, she earned a Western Canadian Music Award nomination for Pop Artist of the Year and even scored a Top 40 hit with her single I Got You. Today, she’s garnered over 72M streams across all platforms by connecting both virtually and IRL with audiences around the world who relate with her vulnerable lyrics and superstar sensibilities.

Here, we chatted with her about opening up for Ellie Goulding, her recent EP, and what’s next for the Winnipeg wonder.

What was going on tour with thee Ellie Goulding like?
I’ve looked up to Ellie since the moment I started writing songs. It was such a surreal experience to tour Europe with her. Her fans welcomed me with open arms, and I’m so excited to be heading back to London in May to play more shows!

You got to perform your latest music, too. Tell us about it!
My EP HEARTBREAK ON REPEAT perfectly captured where I was in my life one year ago. SECRETS is my favorite record on the project—it’s extremely vulnerable, honest, and is also my favorite song to play live.

Speaking of secrets, anything you wanna share?
I’m currently working on a full length album and I’m beyond excited to share it with everyone in the fall. These next songs tell special stories, and dive into my artistry deeper than I’ve ever gone before. Stay tuned!

Is there a song that you think is gonna be a big hit this summer?
I’ve been listening to Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter nonstop ever since it came out! This song will absolutely be everywhere this summer.

Ok, exciting! Now, what can we expect from this mix you put together for us?
My taste in music is so vast. I tend to choose the genre/vibe I listen to based on my mood. I look to music for energy when working out, comfort when I’m feeling low, and a way to enhance the present moment. The playlist I’ve curated below is a combination of old songs and new ones that I’ve had on repeat. It sets the perfect vibe for going into the summer months and is energetic, hypnotizing, and vibrant.
