Danielle Frankel is the Creative Director behind her namesake bridal label, Danielle Frankel–a company she launched in 2017, after working as a designer for legendary brands Vera Wang and Marchesa. Danielle’s unique style reflects the modern bride, while still respecting classic tailoring and fit. She prefers to work one-to-one with brides, with many of her dresses made to measure, but also offers a collection sold in retailers worldwide–now including Net-A-Porter. While her company was launched in NYC, Danielle currently lives in Brooklyn with her husband Josh, and is expecting her first child in August. Wondering how this bridal boss ends her day? 6:30 P.M. I do my best to head out of work by 6:30-7 P.M. on a normal evening. As soon as I get home I throw on some sweatpants, as Josh has implemented a no work-pants rule on the couch to help us compartmentalize in a fun and relaxing way. I have been really into Splendid leggings from Pea in the Pod and I’ll usually slip those on. I bought the best robe from Ralph Lauren a couple years ago as a gift for Josh, but soon found that it was actually a gift to myself, and I now wear it around our apartment every night!
7:30 P.M. I have to admit that my talents lie in design and not in the kitchen, so we usually order in dinner or chow down on some leftovers. I’ve probably averaged 2-3 lentil soup and pizza orders a week from Zaytoons, a local Middle Eastern restaurant (yes, pizza from a Middle Eastern restaurant, I know). Some nights we will also explore the neighborhood restaurants or stop by Ample Hills for a scoop (or two) of the best ice cream I’ve ever had! It’s a great way to end dinner and I highly recommend their sweet cream and cookies flavor.
9 P.M. We usually wind down with an hour or so of television, followed by Josh’s near-religious routine of completing the NY Times crossword puzzle while I try to get comfortable in my pregnancy pillow. Washing up for bed has become less of an ordeal as I can’t use many creams etc., so I just do a simple face cleansing with Fresh Soy Face Cleanser, brush my teeth and moisturize with Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Cream. Jo Malone makes a great Vitamin E Lip Conditioner that I will throw on if I feel super dry and the rest of my skin just has to live with the few breakouts before giving birth!
10 P.M. I do my best to stay away from my phone once I’m wrapped around my pregnancy pillow, and close my eyes at around 10 P.M. If Josh is reading this he would probably laugh and add that I do another couple hours of brand research on my phone while he isn’t looking, but I’ll stick to my story!
