Wondering how this blogger winds down after a long day? Keep reading to find out.
P.M. I’m usually still finishing up on emails and blog posts at this time but once that’s all completed, I’ll head to my kitchen to start cooking dinner. Cooking for me is my come-down after a long day. I love putting on music and creating a healthy meal. I’m plant-based, but my boyfriend isn’t so I’m usually trying to create a very hearty vegetarian meal–but sometimes I also just end up making another dish for him. I love testing out new recipes even if I’m not the one eating them at the end, I truly get so much joy in cooking for others.
30 P.M. My boyfriend and I both run our own brands so we tend to talk a lot after dinner. We run through our days, critique new ideas and help each other out where needed. For both of us, work never really shuts off completely so we don’t mind talking about it wherever and whenever.
30 P.M. This could vary depending what night of the week it is. If we both have nothing on the schedule, we will take a walk by the water as we live right on it, or we will head on the boat if it’s a nice hot night! Otherwise, we are usually at events together, either is he djing or there is a press event for me to be at. Our worlds tend to collide a lot so it works out well.
30 P.M. If it’s one of those quiet nights in then I’ll probably be watching Handmaid’s Tale, Masterchef Australia or a basketball game. While watching these, I usually get out my yoga mat and do some stretching. I work out almost every day but for some reason, I like stretching at night rather than after my work out.
P.M. I’ll usually go wash my face by this time and do a face mask. My favorite ones right now are Goop or Dr. Sebagh Exfoliating mask for brightening, Susanne Kaufmann hydration mask if my skin is extra dry, Summer Fridays or Tata Harper Purifying Mask to clean and detox pores.
P.M. After my face mask is done, I move on to my full skincare routine–which starts with cleansing my skin, then using Olehenriksen Oil Control Toner, followed by La Mer eye cream, Susanne Kaufmann Nutrient Concentrate serum and lastly Augustines Bader Rich Cream, which if you don’t know about this cream, you need to ASAP! I call it my Magic cream, it’s super hydrating and rejuvenating. I try to turn my phone on airplane mode at this time and shut off from the online world or else I won’t be able to sleep. I really don’t like looking at screens before going to bed so I’m trying to get back into the habit of reading. I spray Ren pillow spray to help me relax and then start reading!
