Chloe Gosselin is the luxury shoe designer behind her namesake label, which has been worn at some of the world’s biggest events, by stars like Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Taylor Swift, and Kate Winslet. A perfect blend of French cool and Italian craftsmanship, Chloe’s brand is a reflection of her European upbringing and travel around the world as an international model. And though her line is coveted by the biggest names in entertainment and fashion, each shoe is still designed in her New York studio and handmade in a remote town a few miles from central Milan. Of the moment she decided to go into her profession, Chloe says, “I started to draw shoes when I was a child but it’s only after the birth of my daughter that I realized I wanted to be a fashion designer.” When she’s not working, she can be found riding one of her two horses, or with her daughter and husband, David Copperfield. We asked this entrepreneur to tell us about what a typical night in her life looks like. She shares her nightly routine below.

6:30 P.M. After a big day of work, and our drive back from school, 6:30pm is usually the time we finish up homework with my daughter, Sky. We try to take our dogs, Orson and Rosie for a long walk and play fetch on the golf course across our home in Las Vegas.

Sky takes a bath and we practice her songs for her little performing class. The latest: “Castle on a Cloud” from Les Misérables.

7:00 P.M. Dinner time. I always try to keep it healthy for dinner as my daughter picks her own lunch at school. Steamed salmon and broccoli are Sky’s favorites.

8:00 P.M. It’s Sky’s bedtime and our little tradition is that she reads a book to me in English and I read a book to her in French. Very often it is a book from the Martine series, which I used to read as a child myself.

8:30 P.M. I usually go back to work after Sky falls asleep. I catch up on emails and plan the following day. During creative times I love to draw in the evening. Before I was a mother, I was a night owl, but now it is impossible with the school routine— but I still have this spark to create at night!

9:00 P.M. I try to take a bath and unwind from the busy day. When we got our house I laughed that there were TVs everywhere, especially because we don’t watch TV that much. But the one by the bath I love—I often watch Sex & The City. I’m known to be an eternal nostalgic, or I catch up on my favorite episodes of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel or The Handmaid’s Tale.

I usually soak in magnesium flakes and Epson salt, as I do have a lot of back issues. I wash my hair with Oribe and clean my face with either Joanna Vargas or Eve Lom’s cleanser. Then I use the oil from Joanna Vargas or her retinol with her daily cream, and finally La Mer’s eye cream and lip moisturizer. I slip on one of my favorite pajamas from Morgan Lane. Morgan & I met on the CVFF and became good friends, and she makes the best PJs ever.

Time you go to bed: I try to go to bed by 10:30pm so I can get 8 hours of sleep but I’m putting together this segment and it’s 10:15pm! I try to read a few pages of a book—right now on my nightstand is “Kafka on the Shore” by Haruki Murakami, but I often fall asleep. I have to wake up early to take Sky to school, then ride my horse, and back to work…
