Morning Routine: Brittany Driscoll

Routines
Brittany Driscoll is Co-Founder & CEO of Squeeze, the new massage concept from the founders of Drybar. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Brittany spent four years running marketing for everyone’s favorite place to get blowouts, Drybar, which included opening over sixty locations, launching the brand’s popular product line in major U.S. retailers, and expanding internationally. In sum, Brittany helped grow the business to over $100M. That’s a lot of hairspray. Now, with Squeeze, Brittany is disrupting the massage business by revolutionizing the entire experience. Instead of calling into a spa, guests can easily book an appointment via the Squeeze app, and can also set their own personalized preferences prior to their visit. Best of all, just like Uber, clients are able to simply leave after their visit, with the ability to rate and tip at their leisure. Did we mention you can set the room’s lighting, temperature and music to your liking? Look out for Squeeze’s flagship location, opening early 2019 in Studio City. 5 A.M. I’ve always been an early bird and love the optimism of the morning, with so much ahead to discover and accomplish. Before jumping out of bed, I usually do a quick email check. I’ll pop over to Instagram and Facebook for a few minutes, then put a pot of coffee on (with grounds from our local coffee shop M Street Coffee in Sherman Oaks), drink a glass of water with a splash of Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar, and stretch for a few minutes.
5:30 A.M. I’ll then spend about 20-30 minutes in prayer and meditation (using the Head Space app) as well as write in a gratitude journal (Start Today from Rachel Hollis). I started practicing gratitude about a year ago when I started Squeeze and it’s been an amazing shift in my life. When you spend your day looking for the positive and things to be grateful for, it changes your entire perspective and grounds you in a way that makes any challenge or obstacle manageable – at least it does for me!
6 A.M. Set my daily to-day list, catch up on email or tackle a big task that requires focus/attention, and occasionally jump on a call with our architects who are based in NYC to get a jump start on the day. If I have time, I’ll browse the home pages of BBC, VICE News, NY & LA Times and The Washington Post as well as a few business outlets – Business Insider, INC, Fast Company & Forbes.
7 A.M. Sweat! I am a huge PlateFit lover – their Studio City location is right around the corner from my house so I typically ride my bike to class, which is one of the best parts of my day. I also love Training Mate on Ventura Blvd and The Sweat Shoppe in Toluca Lake. Those are my go-to staples for a morning workout and I make every effort to prioritize this time for myself. I find I show up better for my business, my team, myself and the people/things I care about most when I do.
8 A.M. Get ready for the day. Some of my favorite go-to beauty products include Eve Lom’s Cleanser, Fresh’s Rose Floral Toner, Sunday Riley’s Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment, Josie Maran’s Pure Argan MILK, La Mer’s Crème de la Mer and of course, all the Drybar products & tools.
9 A.M. Make a Be Well By Kelly Fab Four Smoothie, head out the door, and normally jump on a call on my way to work.
9:30 A.M. I’m either typically at the shop, our WeWork office or in a meeting at this point and diving into whatever the day has in store. And I’m usually on at least my 2nd if not 3rd cup of coffee at this point!
